Why?

ebay is too expensive (fees) and too risky. I guess if you find someone with great feedback you'd be safe but they may not be a photographer and might just resell stuff. In any case most high feedback sellers on fm are also shooters and have reputations. I've never been burned there and have bought a lot over the years. I doubt you would find a single negative thing said about Fred's buy and sell forum from members here. It is highly regarded. The b&s forum here is just as good but it's very slow. Almost everything can be found on fm.

They are all good but will charge more than FM. I've used the first 4 you list, and would rank in that order.

OP may be a one and done but this thread has gotten me thinking about a D500 lens (twice now since I read through this earlier in the year too) and, maybe, I'll go out and find myself a nice 17-55 for myself
