Bewick's Swan Portrait

  1. Bewick swans visit the Severn estuary every year. At the moment they have left the Russian Artic and were reported last weekend in Latvia, for me to win the sweepstake the first has to arrive in Slimbridge in 9days time  .
A few birds mainly ones that have been injured in collisions with electrical distrubution cables and can't fly stay at Slimbridge all year. I took these portraits of one this morning.

    Nice Dave,

    I like all swans.

  3. Beautifully sharp portraits. There are no birds where I live that one can get close to very often. I envy you.

Very nice Dave. I like the bright colors, and as others have noted, the excellent sharpness of your shot.

Good luck in the contest.
