BIF of GHO

Discussion in 'Birds' started by cybertec69, Feb 11, 2019.

  1. A few from today D500 and Nikon 200-500mm, hand held, compete overcast skies, bumped up the exposure to +1, shutter speed 1000/1250 "waiting for the BIF shot".
I have a feeling this GHO is getting sick of me :p .
When she took off, she just glides through the air, silent like a drop off a feather.

    1. I see you, oh, it's you again:mad:

    Thanks for looking.

  2. I know what it’s like waiting for an owl to fly. Glad you had success.

  3. Thank you Allan. Yes I did have to wait, was watching her the whole time, and she was watching me, occasionally pruning herself, when she did a squat to take a dump I knew it was time for her to move, and she surely did, did not fly too far, then 5 minutes later she silently swooped into the ground silent like a feather, most likely got herself a snack.
The funny part is that there is not one Squirrel or bird to be found anywhere near the area she occupies.
