I had the pleasure of donating my time one day to photograph an awesome charity event called birdies for the brave. To honor the fallen and wounded warriors of our US military for their services.
I got to meet so many awesome people and hear some great stories, it was very humid and hot this day (6am I was sweating pretty hard and I dont really sweat much)
This was a shotgun style tournament with 32 groups of 4 and everyone starting on a specific hole. On top of candids for the entire event I also did the group shots for all groups as they arrived at the 18th hole where they had an awesome american flag stenciled into the fairway on a hillside which you can see in a few pictures.
Needless to say it was a very long day but very worth it and nothing in comparison to what soldiers go through to ensure we have our freedoms today.
These are just a few images I took ranging from setting up, early morning course shots and some tidbits from the event through out the day.
I have never shot golf, I only carry prime lenses (35, 50, 85). I attempted to get a local lens rental company to donate a 300mm lens for a day but they never got back to me after 3 attempts oh well....
If anyone who shoots golf has tips to share on shooting golfers such as composition rules of thumb etc that would be awesome as I expect to work more with this country club on future events.
