Gee Craig I like these. I used to live not too far from the Delaware Water Gap (Long Valley, N.J.) and always thought this was a beautiful area. Thanks for the memories.

Craig -

Very nice shots! Gives a good feel for the rolling hills up there.

Including the rowboat (I think that's what I'm seeing) gives a nice reference point to understand the size of the river there.

thankyou David. Yes it's one of those big river "John boat" rowboats.

Here's Mt Tammany from the PA side of the river

Craig,

You have a great shot of the Gap from the top of Mt Tammany. It's within 5 miles of my house. Here's a shot I took from the parking lot along the river on the PA side of the river. I was looking up at the area where you took your shot.

If you look at your shot, almost in the exact center, you can see a break in the trees. That is a small canyon called Slatford Creek. I was hiking along the creek this last Sunday and got this shot of a small frozen water fall.

If you are looking for some neat places around the gap to shoot, drop me an email and I be happy to share them with you.

Nicely captured images. That 12mm sure is handy. I like them both.
