We're hungry mom. Where's the food?

    Mmmm, yummy fish.

    Insectivorous birds ...

    Are bug eating birds

I rarely use flash on wildlife/birds, mainly because I'm not good with it. But
I think this one came out pretty well considering my almost zero knowledge of fl

    One cranky egret.

It's an acorn woodpecker but it also make sounds just like Woody Woodpecker(which is based on Pileated woodpecker).

the woodpecker is reall neat. Never saw one like that.

More excellent shots. You really do have good technique for shooting the birdies. Your actions shots capture the subject behavior very, very well.

    Please post more.
  5. Great series, I too really like #1, beautifully done!

Wonderful series, Ricardo! You do very well with the bird photos - keep em coming! I also really like the first one.
  8. You have some fine bird images Ricardo. The use of flash on the flying one worked out good.
  9. Nice series of images Ricardo! That is a very different looking woodpecker. I've never seen anything like it. Like others, I also like #1 the best. :)  :)

    Thanks for sharing.
  10. Ricardo, these are great shots! You should consider coming to Florida this fall for the next get together. Some of these look like they could've been taken at the Rookery! :)
