  1. Here are some of the birds we photographed while in Africa.

    A Supurb Starling from Tanzania - D-100 70-200 AFS-VR +1.7TC @ 230mm:

    A Yellow Billed Stork in Tnazania - D-70 80-400 VR @400mm

    A Male Ostrich (in breeding plumage) - D-100 70-200 AFS-VR +1.7TC @ 300mm:

    Grey Heron riding on a Hippo with a baby Hippo- D-100 70-200 AFS-VR +1.7TC @ 300mm:

    The Starling is a gorgeous bird. What beautiful colors. Great shot. The stork is cuter than our storks. Gotta love the GBH and Hippo, that is a classic....

    Those Ostrichs are almost just to big to call a bird :>)))

    I'm so envious of you and Nan. Maybe someday Janie and I will get to take great trips like this one. Wonderful birdies.
