Birds in Greenland & Arctic Canada

  1. We saw a lot of birds on our adventure in Greenland and Arctic Canada, but not many different species.

    Northern Fulmar were a constant presence with the ship:
    NIKON D300    ---    200mm    f/9.0    1/320s    ISO 200

    NIKON D300    ---    300mm    f/5.6    1/500s    ISO 360

    NIKON D300    ---    300mm    f/5.6    1/500s    ISO 640

    We saw just a few Ivory Gulls:
    NIKON D300    ---    400mm    f/10.0    1/640s    ISO 200

    I think this is a Black-legged Kittiwake:
    NIKON D300    ---    270mm    f/8.0    1/500s    ISO 200

    A Black Guillemont:
    NIKON D300    ---    270mm    f/5.6    1/800s    ISO 500
