Black Necked Stilt

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Louis Champan, May 29, 2007.

  1. These were taken a few weeks ago in eastern Washington. Shot with D2X & a 500mm/f4 lens. I watched what appeared to be a family of Stilts as they flew from one side of the pond to the other. Very interesting bird to watch, they do have some unique behavioral straights, always bobbing and weaving never seem to stand still. Anyway, these were the best I could get.

A couple of RWBB in the background, it was hard not to get them in a shot due to them being just about everywhere you looked.
