    I had borrowed Greg's 300 2.8, this was with the 1.7 tc.

    Beautiful birdy, Patrick. The detail is wonderful and nothing was lost while using the TC. The positioning of the bird is very nice.

    Great color and detail, but the pose really adds interest to this photo. [Wish I had some bluebirds to photograph -- only see them migrating through.]

    Thanks everybody. This was the only shot that came out decent enough to post. I was using a borrowed lens, (300 2.8) and have no experience with it. Its really a shame because I got a flight shot of a Pileated Woodpecker but its horrible, so I won't post that. Maybe with some more practice I can master the 300 2.8 + tc.
