Discussion in 'Merritt Island VI' started by jryoung1947, Feb 5, 2009.

  1. For me the light was much better after noon for this chick! Just about 50% to full frame with D700 + 500 + no TC.

  2. These are terrific John!!! Lovely light!!

  3. Oh, these are superb! That last one is a hoot.
  4. The parent kept poking it under the feathers but there was no chance. I have a bunch more when they were changing shifts. The first parent was glad for the relief.

Beautiful John. What was your secret? I stood there twice for several hours and hardly got a look at the chick. Did get blessed with a hawk between them and me.
  14. Just beautiful, John! I love how you captured the little chick tucked in the parent's wing.
  15. Aw.....isn't that baby just adorable?! These are excellent, excellent shots, John! WOW! We never did get over to the heron wetlands so I'm glad you did and were able to have such success! Wonderful images!
