"Blue Sox" Hawk

Sometimes you just get lucky. I was shooting outfield from a position I don't normally shoot from due to sun glare. I had my 300mm f/4 ED-IF and Kenko 1.4x on the camera, a lens combination I have not had to a ballgame yet this year. And a fellow came up to me and said "you want a shot, look up there.."

Sitting on a maintenance step on a light stanchion was a beautiful hawk. I had just the right focal length for a full frame shot, and took six of them, this last one being the best.
