Boats, Newquay in Cornwall UK

    Got out in the sun this week, here is one of the shots from the 17-55

    Have used an exaggerated DOF by applying gaussian blur in steps with a feathered edge. Also altered colour slightly to give a purple caste!

    I do like these kind of shots at emulate tilt shift lenses (is that right??) as they look almost like models rather than real boats

    Chris, that's an excellent shot. I took a few shots of colourful fishing boats and the lobster nets in Beer in Dorset a few years ago. I do like this type of shot - makes me thing of holidays and a slower pace of life.
