Boats Too!

  1. These may not be functional anymore but historically they are fairly significant. Located in Neys Provincial Park in Northern Ontario. Once was a prisoner of war camp during the second world war. The prisoners would be transported up the little Pic River to cut timber..Can't imagine what a lonely existence that may have been.. To some the beauty of the area helped in a small way. In fact some German prisoners returned to settle in the area after the war.
    I worked with a former prisoner who returned to Canada and became a social worker in Thunder Bay
