Booby prize...

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Backdoctor, Aug 7, 2005.

  1. at the Dry Tortugas there is the only colony of Booby's in the USA, and dont you know , the one time I pass one, the boat is going 30mph, and I had the f stop set at 10 so my shutter speed was only 1/350th while shooting at 420mm. Do the math, no chance of a sharp shot, let alone having to crop some. Here it is anyhow...

    original.

    Very odd, unusual looking bird!

They've got those stubby little legs, and sort of a "condensed" version of a Pelican's beak. Good find!

Very unique capture Harris. You got a good shot considering the conditions.

  5. That's not a bad shot, Harris. Think of it this way~Any booby is better than no booby!

  6. thanks all, I figured as Kevin said, any booby is better than no booby at all.
