  2. OOOHH brings back memories form January, I didnt have good weather though, excellent series!

  3. Ron, excellent series. I was there right after Thanksgiving of last year. You and I shot together on a couple of those days. Some of these shots look very familiar.

  11. Beautiful set, Ron!!

  12. Ron, what a great series. I love em all. You really picked the right time to go out and shoot and you were handsomely rewarded. Thanks for sharing. I have to say that I just love "Sunset Landing"

  13. Good "seeing" you again

Lookin' good old dog!!! It was good talking to you and thanks again for the pictures!!! Just got back from the Dr., my leg is wrapped in a giant bandage, but modern pharmacology is keeping me VERY comfortable  Come to think of it, it almost feels like it's 1969 again!!

    Ron,

I well remember those first several shots from out trip. The "ice dancing" was as comical as I've seen.

How's Jeff doing with the 500mm?

    Joe

  15. Thanks folks... glad you like them.

Kevin, take care of yourself... but be cool with the Scotch and pain pills :^)

Joe, I think you can safely say that Jeff really likes the 500mm. It's hard to find him shooting without it now... although he is thinking about a 200/2VR to go along with it. Poor guy is hooked [chuckle].

    Ron,

He should take a look at this one at Cameta. They haven't failed me yet (600mm f/4, 400mm f/2.8, etc.) and the 500mm f/4 that I sold to Jeff came from Cameta.

  17. Hi Ron,

The second, fifth and seventh are just outstanding! A little bit of a green tinge on the seventh, don't know if it's right as I wasn't there . Super stuff.

    Best,

    Jose

  18. The light there gets interesting around sunset... golden amber, with odd overtones, yielding to a purple post-sunset. Early morning reds and oranges are vivid. It makes up for the harsh mid-day light. Some angles just before sunset can yield a yellow-green-gold look sometimes.

Gotta get there some day if you can, Jose.

Joe, I let Jeff know (left a message -- hopefully he checks before noon).

    Ron
