We were in NO last week-end and had to visit the iconic Beignet/cafe place. Since I am a fast eater, I stepped outside hunting for shots and lucked out!

I like the picture. Maybe it would look great BW, but I also feel BW conversions of street photography are getting cliched for nostalgia reasons because the grand ol masters used BW.

This has enough atmosphere it doesn't need a conversions.

I agree, you've capture the moment and I feel the pic is fine without the conversion. Great Shot!

I attend a yearly conference in NO for analytical chemists and I begin every morning (weekdays) at Cafe du Monde. If I'm there on a weekend it's Brennan's for trout and fried eggs. OMG. I love NO for about a week until my pants get too tight :frown::smile:. Beautiful image. I want beignets and chicory coffee NOW!

Thank you everyone. Rick, you are hilarious. We did not go to any Brennan's restaurant this trip. We had great food at August, Muriel's, Nola, and Domenica, my all-time favorite restaurant right inside the Roosevelt Hotel.
