"BREAKING NEWS" , this just in; sensor....

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by W.Ditto, Jun 18, 2007.

  1. I learned something today....the "dust" I thought I had on my sensor wasn't dust, it was CONDENSATION SPOTS !!!! when the blowwer didn't work, and the cleaning fluid wouldn't work, I studied the actions of my last shoot, and realized the spots had arrived during a session WITHOUT changing lenses......what I had done was set the camera and lens in front of an air-conditioner vent, then grabbed it and ran outside (90 degrees) to get some snaps right quick; THAT was the shot the "dust" appeared in......aha !!! All y'all probably knew about this, but didn't tell me.......so I learned the hard way....hope it helps someone in the future
  2. thanks for the reminder, especially here in the deep south.

  4. yep, and they are a LOT harder to remove than dust, as you have to get them fairly wet to get them off.....but I still love air-conditioning.....
