Just back after a brilliant day as guests of the Samsung Dienza team and spent the whole day in the paddock with Dean Thomas and Enzo, the team boss. Naturally I took the camera:

There were bikes:

Chris Walker

Excellent job panning on the first three. Bike races are still a few weeks away around here.

I notice your 24-105mm f/4 IS L lens is mostly stuck at the tele end except for 3 images posted. The bike panning shots could benefit more by zooming in or from a tighter crop especially since it's coming from the 5D.

Great shots - both bikes and pics!

What is it about bikes and girls? Accidentally captured these at the NEC last year:

They are crops - I was about 60 feet from the track. I'm not sure how much more I could have zoomed a 105mm lens bearing in mind I was at 105mm with a BIG fence in front of me. Here's an uncropped bike shot by way of reference:

I was woefully under-lensed that day, no question about that. I didn't go to capture on track action though, these were just an effort with what I had.
