my tubes arrive next week but i had to shoot today
so I went back to my bread and butter s/u, the d300 + sigma 150 2.8
The cloudy day today was nice for low contrast but i had to bump ISO (these are 1K and higher) and open up the lens some (some of these are f4)
The sigma 150 2.8 is a great lens especially considering the price

Some larger versions to show the sigma's detail better

Excellent set. I just love the light, color and sharpnes in #3. The Sigma 150 seems to have a great bokeh.

Love the first three particularly, wow

Will you use the tubes to get greater working distance or closer in ?

Those are great! love the color. It's rich but not bright if that makes sense. Perfect IMO.

Very nice shots. I tried these exact same things with my 105 VR today, and got nothing this good. Thank goodness for football camp next week.

Strangely enough, I love that first one! For being so busy, it turned out fabulous. Very nice composition, color, and subjects.

Number #3 is my favorite of the set. I just love how the Bee relates to the purple flower. Great sharpness and point of veiw. Im inspired to go out and get some of my own little critter's.
