Not happy to see these guys in our local pond, there not supposed to be this far north and our cute little tree frogs make a nice snack for them.

But off course I had to take the picture, he is about 12 centimeters long. Just a small one.

Great shots Martin. I heard hundreds of these guys, but never actually seen one in the wild. Neat looking animal.

Hi Martin,
Some PA frogs, though I wish I could get closer to get more eye detail like yours, nice job.

Martin, I really like your first image and the way the frog seems to be looking right at you! That stare really brings the viewer into the picture with you!

Hi Bob, Bullfrogs have been introduced to Vancouver Island many years a go as there were attempts at farming them for frog legs, they were let go as the farms stopped and they have spread slowly up island, they eat the smaller native species of frog and there too big for some of our predators to eat. They also eat duclings and pretty well anything they can get in there mouth.

Excuse me for saying so, but how bl**dy typical. When will man learn?
At least they are not the Cane Toads which are causing havoc in Australia.

The sun is out and there is very little wind. Must be a mirage
