Business trip at F/1.4 - "Nute-tonian" combo

Discussion in 'Photojournalism, Candids and Street Photography' started by Bandnuts, Sep 27, 2008.

  1. I took a trip this week to the Dallas area. Part of my job requires that I take some photos for our company records. For this trip, I thought I'd play a bit and take the D40 with only a Sigma 30mm attached (my "Nute-tonian" combo). It was great fun.

Using this set-up allowed me to take some very clean business shots as well as some fun photos for posting here. Here's my trip as seen thru the eyes of a 30mm Sig, no flash allowed, and all taken at F1.4....

Nice expose on the daily lifestyle that is shared by millions of businessmen !

  6. Thanks Mark.... And thanks for the suggestions on the camera combo....

I love the plane shots. It was hard for me to pick the two that I wanted to use. I actually like the sleeping plane ones better, but the isle makes it look good in that one.

Thanks for the comments... You set the standard for stuff like this.

I'm going to start taking some fun shots with the "normal" ones from now on. I get so wrapped up in the technical side of a photo, I miss out on playin' around.

  11. Thank you Francis... Actually it was kinda nice to be in your state (at least the Dallas area) as they had a lot better outlook on the economic conditions.... It was a good visit.

Thank you Manny.. This is a great combo. Much better than expected.

Thanks Frits, I was trying to find a way to put fun in the trip photos and it worked well. There's a LOT (I mean a LOT) of "stuff" going on at my work right now and I just don't have time to pick up a camera and shoot. This let me work and shoot both and the people I was traveling with didn't know I was doing it....

    Thank you Glen. Much appreciated......
