Last night was busy at the feeder in my backyard. I was testing out the Sigma 50/150 f/2.8 lens @ 2.8 while I had some good evening light. These 3 guys were hanging all around the feeder and didn't seem to mind that I was just standing about 15 feet away with the camera clicking away.

First we have the Male Brown Headed Cowbird

    Next is a Rufous-crowned Sparrow

Then what I think is a House Finch

Here he is standing at attention

And lastly, an Eastern Bluebird sitting way up on the roof of the house next to me...I shoulda switched to the 70-300 VR for this one.

You did have some good traffic. Good shots too.

  4. Great technicals on these shots. Looks like a great place to shoot as well - lots of variety.

    Best,

Thanks Lowolf, Frank and Jose. You'd be surprised if you actually saw where I lived that my feeder gets this much traffic. I bet if I put it on the edge of the woods it would be non stop 24/7. Now if only the house my wife and I built would have fit on one of those lots.
