Cactus Flower

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by MiriamJ, May 28, 2007.

  1. I've been able to take so few pictures lately, but when I saw my favorite flower blooming in front my neighbor's house, I ran and grabbed my camera. I used a magenta filter in front of the lens to ensure that I captured all the colors.

    Really pretty

  3. Thanks, Gale!

  4. IS that a Prickly Pear? Very nice no matter what it is. Cactus seem to bloom only for a very short time.

  5. Thanks, Dave. I think that's what they call it. I've been watching these bloom for years. Each bud blooms for one day, fold up, and never blooms again, so you've got to watch the plant for the best time to shoot.
