Pictures are not only a mean to preserve a moment in time. They are also a powerful tool to give rise to viewers feelings and on the way doing so, to convey messages.

The topic of Cafe Challenge #4 will be : FEELINGS BEST GENERATOR.

The submission thread will be open for seven days.
Entries can be posted starting Wednesday 09-Mar at 00:01 EST.
Entries post will close Tuesday 15-Mar at midnight EST

Needless to say, the strength of the feeling (whatever it is) given rise by your image will play an important role for the voting. But the technical content of the picture will also be considered.

I will stick to the rule of one entry per artist. You can edit your entry post and change the picture at any time up to the cutoff. Exif data may be posted but no comments please.

The feeling to be aroused, the subject matter and the choice of format (color or B&W) are leaving open. Although, to keep this challenge serene and enjoyable, I would like to call for each submitter good will to avoid posting too controversial or too offending images.

The voting procedure will be the same as in challenge #3. Each voter will have six points to hand out to top three pictures: 3 points for the first place, 2 points for the second and 1 point for the third.

I must confess this is my first experience in proposing and running a photographic challenge. Mistakes and errors may then happen and help will be appreciated. Please be indulgent to a newbie.

Good luck to everyone.

I think this sounds like a great theme Dao and will be a challenge for all of us to come up with an image that generates feelings in the viewer. If I can be of any help to you let me know.
Thank for the offer, Gordon.

I can't help to notice the change in your avatar. Does your camera gear do the transportation too :D

I know I can come up with the feeling of "Why did you take that photo?", but you probably have more substantial feelings in mind.
Hi Chris,

I'm not sure I clearly understand your post. But when I came up with the challenge topic, what I have in mind is feelings such as joy, love, sadness, melancoly, relief, serenity, pity, fear, loneliness, etc.

One question Dao - does the image need to be taken during the period of the contest as was the case with the previous challenge?
