Challenge #69

topic:

Trick Perspective

Well, thanks again to all who voted for my picture in the last challenge; I'm very excited to have won and be able to host the new challenge. I thought long and hard to come up with a good topic for the new one and some of my ideas were already used in previous challenges. In the interest of coming up with something new, I decided to go with a bit of trick photography. We have probably all seen the pictures of people holding up buildings or trees and so forth by utilizing depth of field and tricky angles, so I thought it would be a great artistic motivator to challenge you all to come up with your own trick photography! It can be size differences, angles of sight, rotating the picture to make it look like something that it really isn't, etc. Please don't just Photoshop something to make it look tricky, use lines of sight, distance, and perspective to achieve your results!

I don’t have immediate access to my photos, but here is an example of what I’m talking about: http://www.lib.unc.edu/blogs/morton/index.php/2007/11/amazing-trick-photography/

Submissions may start immediately and submission will end on Monday, October 5, Midnight, GMT.

Thanks a lot and have fun!!!

The Basic Challenge Rules apply:

1. Every participant is allowed one picture per challenge.

2. The picture has to be taken between the submission start and end date. This is to make it a "Challenge" and not just another "Best Picture Contest"

3. The posted picture must remain unaltered, once posted. But the text of the participation may be edited/changed, as often as necessary (for possible exceptions contact the Challenge Leader)!

4. Pictures may be processed/edited and worked on, in post production before submitting them, but the main picture/content must have been taken during the submission dates.

5. Somewhat controversial pictures are permitted, but please use your judgment and keep it within reason. ( Note that this community should remain suitable for all age groups )

6. If there are any questions or obscurities the Challenge Leader is the person to appeal and to decide.

7. The actual Challenge Leader has the freedom to alter the rules, if reasonable (except Rule 5 perhaps). But he/she has to make sure the rules are clearly stated and applied to all submissions.

8. Please try to keep the identity of the photographer/participant hidden (as long as the challenge is running, and voting isn't finished) So don't include the name or post the picture anywhere else on the cafe for the duration of the challenge! Don't use pictures, that have already been shown/posted in the cafe forums.

For more details on the Challenge please see this post.
