Calibration cost of an out of warranty lens?

Discussion in 'Lens Lust' started by JMontes, Aug 29, 2008.

  1. General question for anyone who has sent in a lens for calibration out of warranty - What does it typically cost?
  2. John,

Nikon has a pricing catalog that has minimum and maximums for each specific lens. You can possibly send your question to the service dept on the website and get the price range for your lens. I recently had a 35-70 totally gone through which included replacing elements for $215. For calibration only maybe $100-$125 just a guess though.

  3. Gene, where can I find this catalog?
  4. Nikon has the catalog at the front desk when you hand carry a lens in for repair. Sorry if I mislead you. You would either have to e-mail repair on the nikon USA website or call Nikon Melville or El Segundo Ca. repair. You may also want to call here: http://www.authorizedphoto.com/
