Call for images from the Nikkor 16/2.8 Fish

Discussion in 'Lens Lust' started by dCap, Aug 5, 2007.

  1. does anyone have any pics taken with this lens? That you can either point me at or post in thread. Preferable left as they are recorded on your dSLR. I don't think defishing should be legal.

Am looking to replace my Sony 16/2.8 FishEye ... I have the Nikkor 16, Nikkor 10.5 and Tokina 10-17 to consider. Yep, I want an AF one, so I'm not looking at the manual focus 6mm 2.8

To replace my ex-Minolta and ex-Sony 16 Fish as seen here: fisheye.vividoptic.com/

Ta, looking forward to battling through this decision.

If you want to see photos of any lens in general I can only suggest you go to Pixel-Peeper. You'll be able to find tons to help you in your choice.

You do know though that the 16mm won't have the same fish effect on a DSLR than it would on a traditional SLR ...
  3. yeah, er, thanks for the link. Sure is useful for other lenses. But in the case of the 16 Fish ... the images on that site are trash.

I was hoping a NikonCafe-ite had this puppy and could show and tell ???

I might just kepp my Sony 16 Fish (same idea as the Nikon 16 Fish, its full frame on a filum body but cropped on a 1.5x dSLR) ... and add the Nikkor 10.5mm FishEye. I'm not one who beleaves in buying a Fish to deFish. FishEyes are specialist for shooting Fishy. Period.

Maybe nobody in here has the Nikkor 16 Fish?
