A couple of winters ago, a full moon had risen about 15 minutes earlier and the first small flakes of a promised snowfall were just starting to come down. My last shot of the evening. Cropped out about the middle third of the original, worked a bit in DXO-PL then over to Silver Efex-Pro for B&W treatment. The original was a deep blue. I used the Contrasty En Vogue filter and a blue filter which lightened the sky and snow and the mountain in the back while leaving the foreground trees (mostly greenish) dark.

A salvage job for a hot August day!

Nice one Nick, that shot really reminds me going to Moscow and picking up our daughter at the school breaks. As much as I dislike snow, it could start snowing tomorrow and I wouldn’t complain (for a week or two).
Smokey up this way, it comes and goes, been staying indoors. The red sunsets and sunrises are nice.
