Calopteryx virgos

Hello!

I and fellow dargon & damsel enthusiast spend 8 hours today shooting. Firts we were at a small swamp pond hunting some Aeshnas. We got some(posting later). Then we went at a small stream looking for a rare Ophiogomphus cecilia. We got that too (posting later) (ok, last pic of this post is a small preview of that species) ...But at the stream we also got Calopteryx virgos as a bonus... Taken with Nikkor 300mm f4 AF-S + TC17E ... p.s showing the full power of the compination: no crops (exept #7 obviously & # 15 because it sucked as full frame :smile:

Jukka..... great job on these again.. going to show my wife what the 300 can do with the tc mounted... maybe then she will say order it...keep em coming.. think we almost have her convinced...

Beautiful damselflies Jukka. Great shots as usual. I'm glad you can find places to shoot these beauties. I have not seen a male Calopteryx virgo this year.
