Has anyone been able to import a jpg file into Camera Raw? This is what I use for my raw files, but would love to use it for jpgs also.

I found it. Here are instructions.

    Here’s how you do it.

Open the Full Editor in Photoshop Elements

On the Menu, click on File > Open As…

In the Open As.. dialog box, select Camera RAW on the Open As line.

Navigate to and select your JPEG image and click on Open.

Your JPEG image opens in the Camera Raw Editor as if it were a RAW image.

  3. I know in Bridge CS3 I have some ACR setting that allows me to open JPG and TIFF files with ACR. Maybe a similar setting is available in PSE.

Yes, there is a preference that tells PS to open JPEGs with ACR, or not.

Could you be a little more specific about how to do this?

    Thanks,

  6. in PSCS3 it is in the Photoshop menu/File handling and you will see it there. PSCS2 i don't think you can.

In Bridge, Edit - Camera Raw preferences, scroll down and it's at the bottom. At least in CS3.
