ok, now, the multi-millign dollar question - NR ?

    answer will most likely:

    a) cause a severe financial reaction
    b) severe sweating
    c) a windfall for Nikon

Very sharp shots, #2 looks a little oversharpened I think - zaggies on the top of his left arm?
  3. nice shots
    #2 is NOT oversharpened...
just click on the picture... when it expands, those "jaggies" go away

    well done
  4. great shots, almost time!

Wow - - I can't wait for football but unfortunatly my light won't be this nice.
Unless I can get my high school to build an arena. . .

    Really nice stuff here.

    re: cannot wait for football

I am anxious to give it a try this year! I have been shooting some of my son's 8th grade practices trying to get better prepared for actual game action. I have decided on using my D300 and 70-200mm f/2.8 with the 1.4tc. Games will be late afternoons and I should have access to roam sidelines. I would like to use my D3, but am concerned about losing the reach. I tried using my Bigma with the D300, but not as happy with IQ as compared to the 70-200mm. I performed small amount of cropping and minimal pp to these. Any comments/suggestions/cc moving forward?

    No worries :)

Noise Ninja was used. I shot raw, imported using Adobe Bridge, opened up the file as a raw 16 bit, Cropped and resized, applied Noise Ninja, saved.
  9. FACES!!! Try to get the face in the picture as much as possible. Faces show all type of emotion and help you capture the game.
  10. Matthew, that is impressive. ISO 7200? I can only dream! I'm ready for football too.

To you D3 sports' shooters, all I can do is repeat myself:

    I hate you.

My team, the Burlington Blue Devils of the SE WI-based Ironman Football League are having their Conference Championship game at Wisconsin Lutheran College's field.

The other Conference Championship is being played in Middleton, WI.
