Ok, getting my bird bug back, been a long while since I have seriously shot the winged creatures, in fact only two keepers in about 3-4 months, just not out shooting them much, so to ease my pain, dragging up some shots from the past with fond memories,

First, one of those moments in the dusty gravel that makes getting dirty worth it:

and one of the first shots with the 200-400VR from many years ago, consider this shot my first keeper with the lens:

the first time I really shot in the pouring rain, and neither one of us (eagle and I) didn't really like it....

my first B&W art conversion of birds/wildlife, some buffle head ducks from several years ago,

and my favorite eagle shot, it doesn't sell much, my others sell more, but I just like this one, from 2.5 years ago

  3. Very nice set Wade. The clarity and focus on that first eagle shot is terrific.

    Thanks Gary

Thanks Louis, The rain shot is nearly full frame, not cropped a lot like the nest shot. She flew down toward me and just sat in the tree ruffling her feathers in the rain while we had our "moment" together.

I used to put thousands of shots on the bodies shooting birds, but the birds are nearly gone and this spring was just a so so affair in regard to birds, Been doing Event photography and spending times indoor photog work more this year than last.

Thanks Gale, always appreciate your eyes.
