Captured the Red Kite in Flight again!

  1. Today I managed to capture the "Red Kite" in flight again. This is a free Bird not captive, so a little hard to get :Crunk:
He made exactly one pass over me, then started circling much higher and away

    original.

    Shot handheld with the 70-200VR + 1.4xKenko (1/500s f/8.0 at 280.0mm iso500)

He was circling the area while obviously looking for prey. Shot at "High Noon", sun behind him to the right (that's why the edge is a little bright). Sorry for the lighting....little I could do about it.

    Thanks for looking! C&C appreciated.

  2. That is one hell of a shot Michael

    A wall hanger for sure

  3. This is a great capture, Michael.

  4. Wonderful capture. You must have been very close for that combo. Well done.

  5. Very pretty. Your kite is both graceful and curious, which is exactly right.

  6. 280mm?  That was close. What a nice bird. I can show you tons of sparrow and hooded crow shots, but a red kite? Cooool.

I was wondering whether the contrast might be a tad to high, just a thought.
