Thanks Gale. The CP8800 is a nice all-around camera. Nice Jpg images right out (forget it's RAW mode - huge files and s l o w processing). Base ISO is 50 - very low, but it has VR ! So you gain about 2 stops in terms of speed for stability. And 8 Mp is great.
BTW I've read than it is now out of production - the D50 being in the same price range.
