Catbird Question

Discussion in 'Birds' started by jryoung1947, May 22, 2007.

  1. I just got my D200 and I notice some occasional green where I don't think it should be. Notice the green fringing on this bird. Lots of catbirds this year and all over my suet feeders.

  2. Because of the extreme green background, I'm guessing that it's due to the color casting shadows/reflections on the bird, rather than any flaw in the camera itself. Congratulations on the new D200!

Quite sure that the bird is reflecting the green from the lawn.

I've seen this a fair bit with both white and grey birds, depending on the lighting situation.
  4. I believe Jim is correct it is a reflection from the BG.

    Nice Capture and Congrats
