Thanks. I don't think he actually ate that one. He stayed there for half an hour looking at it and then took off.

Thanks for the look. Was amazed myself that he speared one that size.

Thanks for the looks and comments, Gale.

Hehe...I know what you mean. His eyes are indeed bigger than his stomach.

  8. Nice images.

I am surprised he didn't try and eat it. I have seen them eat some very large fish. Must not have been to hungry.

Thanks, Russ. Yeah, he just kind of stood there for half an hour and then took off. He did poke at it a few times during that time period, but didn't make an attempt to swallow it.

Wow, his eyes really WERE bigger than his stomach!

Awesome catch!.... uhh, on your part!

  11. Eric that is pretty amazing for sure. Here is one I got last fall here in Seattle. The orange color was due to the late time of the day and the muddy color of the water. This was an old dead salmon it was eating. It too took more than 1/2 an hour to get this down. I figured it would kill itself trying but it did not.

Thanks, Steve. Was at there at the right time (couldn't shoot it at a different angle).
