A few of my favorite shots from Central OR last month. All taken with a D700 and 24-120VR.

Cool, my brother lives near the coast and every year I want to head inland but have no time.

Thanks, all, for the good comments. I have to say, Central Oregon is quite the scenic "playground".

Bob: The coast is nice, but only a couple of hours away is some pretty astounding scenery :)

Oregon and most of the Northwest, (Washington, Oregon and Idaho) have such climate extremes all with in driving distance it can be a very fascinating place. Nice pictures by the way.

Great shots...I was just there in June to visit the coast for a photo workshop. One of these days we'll have to do this trip. We have been out to John Day and back through to Crater Lake and then the coast (the scenic Oregon Highway route) but never got to this area. Thanks for sharing.
