I seem to recall someone saying that they had chained 3 SC17s together and still gotten full functionality with the flash.

Anyone know of a supplier of extended SC-19 cables? Maybe 60 feet? Of course, the latest evolution of radio triggers may have rendered my query obsolete. Still worth asking though.

Cool. Thanks, Bruce.

Actually I wonder if there is a limitation on the length of wire that can be used?

Someone on a strobist blog was talking about modifying an SC17 with Cat5 cable. Any specific benefit in using that type of cable?

Probably just that it had enough strands to support the TTL signal, it's reasonably durable, and it's available in basically unlimited lengths.

Early on, I ordred one of the loooong sync cords from an overseas provider. They were the only one to carry it, then.

I had real problems, like my SB 600 triggering randomly, which I was told, was a fairly common occurrance then. I purchased an SC-29, (or is it SC-28?) which I daisy chain with my SC-17 with good results ,and fair extension.

Lon's products at Flashzebra look very intriguing, although expen$ive, and he is very good to deal with.
