  2. Nice series. Lots of really good action here.
  3. outstanding Geoff, nice grab on the keeper...last one looks a tad hot, but still good.
  4. Geoff,

Well done. I've gotta stop lookin' at picture with a 300/2.8.........
  5. Awesome set Geoff. #1 is incredible, excellent timing.
  6. Thanks everyone.

Mark, the 300 is a SWEET lens. I fell in love with it the minute I matched it with my D200. On the D300 it still has been awesome.

Soccer just too boring..not enough intensity.
    (I"m kidding!!!!!!)
Man...these photos really capture the intensity!! Great Series!
  9. Thanks Topher
Jeff, whats the fun in capturing kids with no intensity  no matter what got to find some somewhere. Thanks for the great comments.

Last year was the first time I'd shot soccer. What I learned, is soccer is far more intense than people realize. I was shooting girls soccer, and they could mix it up pretty well. Man..you got to be in shape to play soccer..which is why I was shooting soccer..not playing.

I agree, the intense expressions make for better sports shots, by far, as you've demonstrated in your series.
  11. Jeff, I enjoy shooting hockey and football, but have noticed my few favorite sports to shoot is Rugby and soccer. The intensity and expressions are priceless. Granted I will shoot anything that is a "sport" but do have my preferences. Volleyball is up there as well.

    Ahh...Rugby...intensity defined!
I would love to shoot a rugby match, we don't have them down here (south). Fortunately, we do have a lot of soccer, so I get to shoot that.

im going to go ahead and throw some wood on the fire here..... Geoff did you shoot these A mode + Matrix ? ?
  14. Topher primarily I did, works great. Did some CW when the cloud cover rolled in on day 2 but mostly A and Matrix. I have had good luck with it mostly and still continue to trust it. EXIF is included in the images so people can look.
