I don't know what method most people use for agitating and charging their sensor brushes, but I found a nifty method that works as well (IMHO) as the arctic butterfly type of spinning wand. I tape the shaft of my visible dust wand to the oscillating shaft of my electric toothbrush. It works better than canned air, repeated puffs from blowers, or rubbing the shaft quickly between your palms (the way the natives used to light fires with sticks and stones). I don't mind spending money on luxury but I don't like buying specialty tools when a common tool will suffice.
