I shot the airshow with Ty today, we had a really good time. I will be heading back tomorrow with Jerric and Tony. I shot 1,600 images today, so I have plenty to cull through and edit. Here's a few that came out pretty nice although the lighting was poor. I hope you like them.

  2. WOW, gorgeous shot Frank! Great timing on the vapor cone here too.
I wish I would have been in Chi-town for this, I would have loved to shoot these this weekend (I will be there again the week after next, Aug. 25 + 26).

Thanks Rod, this vapor event lasted no more than a split second. I did a burst of four images and only one had the vapor.

That is just awesome! A great shot, Frank. I looked around for you guys but (surprise) wasn't able to pick you out of the horde of people. It was fun.

    Great shots Frank,

And the first shot is actually a shockwave that is visible because of the water vapor in the air that reacts with the soundwave/shockwave. It indicates the location or boundry of supersonic airflow vs subsonic airflow.

Great set of pics, going through withdrawl right now!

  9. Zowie Frank! You da man! I think the first is probably the most striking, although #2 with the con trails makes it a tough choice.

Gotta love those Blue Angels. Forget the Thunderbirds, #3 & 4's wingtips are about 4' apart!

Love them all Frank. Especially love #3 with the contrails, mist and fire shootin' out the back! Excellent series.

Holy crap those are awesome! The 2nd one is my favorite!!!!! What a great shot.

Those are shots that you could easily sell as posters or large prints. Easily.
  13. One word....

  14. Outstanding Frank! I look forward to your shots of this show every year.
  15. No doubt...#1 is the money shot!

  16. Great stuff, Frank. Your timing is super, maybe most of all on # 5.
