I shot this image during the first week of June when a group of us from the Cafe shot Chicago. Taken with a D2H and 28-70mm.

  2. That's a great image, the lighthouse really makes the scene! Nice job.

Thanks Gale and Tom, I like the image, but wasn't quite sure that it worked. I still lack a good eye for captures like this.
  5. Very nice Frank.

I tried at the same spot but mine didn't come out as good.

    Hi Frank,

I like where you placed the horizon line and lighthouse. Pretty clouds and birds all in the same frame make this a really nice image!

Gary said it perfectly. These have a 3-D look that is hard to duplicate. Very well done.
  14. Very nice Frank. I really like the composure on this shot. Very unique to have captured details within the bird while still getting a scenic background. I guess that's what shooting at F11 will get you.
  15. Well done. I love the way the whole scene looks and feels. I can feel the wind on my face as I look at the picture.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting Jim. I'm not proficient at this type of photography, but the birds were gliding through the wind so slowly, it was fun to give it a try.
