Chickadee for Craig

    I saw your Chickadee shot and it reminded me of one I took a little over a week ago. These birds are not as skittish as the Cardinals or Bluebirds and can get used to your presence if you remain as still as possible. Hope you like this one:

    Nice! yes, I was able to get close, but these little suckers don't stay still very long. always bouncing around trying to root out something to eat.

    Beautiful shot Joe and I agree with Gordon, that background really adds a lot to the image.

    We get Chestnut-backed Chickadees here and they're pretty much fearless. They're liable to fly up to the feeder while I'm filling and it's easy to set up the camera and tripod within two or three feet sometimes (depends if there's been a cat around eating doves or not).
