Sounders upset Chivas USA in the 3rd round of the Open Cup 2 -0. Started at around 400 and ended at 3200 ISO. Need to check my NR settings since the poor light and very dark background tends to give a plastic look but I still need to check and see if the firmware update re-set anything.

  4. Even without a Robinho in that mob you got super action captures and great facial expression.

Very nice series of some soccer action. You really bring us into the action imo. #9 though is just a guy running. What's with that? #12 is a nice action, but I do not think that is enough. It has to be in focus. That one's pretty blurry and not in an artistic way.

#3 is from a goal sequence and the type of celebration shot that is usually picked for publishing as was the case with an editor with this image.

#12 was shot from the opposite end line with a 400 at 2.8 on a full frame body late in the game at 3200 ISO. From a journalistic point of view it was a spectacular save preserving the lead and a key moment in the game, also published. I was tickled I was able to get that result with such a significant crop at such a high ISO.

    Thank you for the comments.
