These are from our families Christmas gathering on Saturday, they were all taken with a D70, Tokina 12-24, SB800 with a LumiQuest Softbox at a very close range (right in the face in fact)

First up are my daughters oldest Amy (on the right) and my youngest Ali (on the right)

This is Amy, I am very proud of her, she is graduating from the University of Michigan at the end of this week. She has been married, divorced (not really happy about that part), gone to school full time (paying for it herself) and working full time.

Last is my nephew Jamie and his daughter Jordan.

  2. Good shots, Dave! The third one is great.

Did you soften up number two a lot in post?

love the catchlights in Jordan's eyes

  5. Very nice Dave. I love close crop and these are very well done. I also like the variety, rather then everything with the same presentation technique. These souvenirs will bring back smiles on people's faces for a long time.

  6. The second one has a cool pictorialist look to it. I especially like the first one. It shows a very close relationship.

  7. Very nice captures, with interesting angles. All are special and like them all.

Both are pretty special to me..
I really like the first one because it shows the pierced nose that Amy helped Ali get, when mad my life hell for about 2 weeks with my wife who wanted to have us all thrown into jail for...
My Mom looked at it and smiled and said KIDS!!
