took a ride about 50 minutes from new york city in the town of kent just near carmel in putnam county and found an amazing buddist monastery ...it looks like a set from a bruce lee movie and is one of the most peacful serine place i ever had the pleasure of being in.....

nice job on these
I have been there a few times, though not recently

i took a look on your site and saw some great cloister shots... having been there 2x i found it very hard to shoot with no tripod.... how did you get such great shots? bright windows , preserved shadows, great job....

It loads slow for a lot of people.
You should place a warning in the title such as "image heavy" or "15 Images" so that those without fast connections can skip it.
I would suggest you split these types into two or more posts - Part 1 and 2.
Also limit the longest edge to 1000 pixels.

Thanks.........

Great series! Colours, mood, textures, sharpness, DOF on the #8 are really amazing. Furthermore, being a martial arts artist, these are a feast to my eyes!
Like you wrote: only Bruce Lee is missing!

I just use my faster lenses (2.8 or faster) and try to brace against something for the slower shutter speeds

it is certainly one of the harder spots to photograph, keep trying
