A swampy sunrise. Some handsome Blue Herons. A paranoid Green Heron. Winged jewels. And a hog in the bog.

Wow, great set! Super job on the lighting

That is a special place. Watch for gators! Saw some white pelicans and an eagle nest there a few years ago in Jan/Feb. Worth the visit in my opinion.

I usually do not nominate for feature because I mostly handle that part of the cafe, but I feel compelled to feature that first shot. Super image.

Circle B is about 15min from me. These images reminded me I had not been there in a while, so I went yesterday early morning. I would hold off traveling here for a month or two.
The majority of the trails- and all my "good spots" are closed. One of my trails was blocked by a large downed tree- and with the water there was no easy way around. I have never seen it this wet- wear water shoes even on the main trails.
They always close the trails during alligator mating season, but they are usually reopened by now.
It is still a beautiful place. Yes, I even got some good images- one of the eagles was kind enough to fly along in front of the moon. But if you are planning a trip I would wait a while.
Drop me a line if you want, be fun to meet up.

Thank you for all the kind comments. I am to a point in my life that journey (into nature) is more important than the destination (a nice picture). I do like to share my experiences thru photography but I also am content with a pair of binoculars and enjoying the moment without worrying about camera settings.
