Considering the possibility of uneven polarization on wide lenses, is it advisable to just not use a polarizer on these lenses? Thanks.

  2. I use one, but when I do, I always take a shot with and another shot without the polarizer on this lens. Uneven polarization isn't just a theoretical problem - I'd say that I end up using the non-polarized version about 80% of the time on outdoor shots. Sometimes I use the unpolarized sky matched with the polarized scenery - that works pretty well fairly often.

Indoors is a different story, since there the objective is to suppress reflections, often off of glass, and there I'll take whatever I can get.
