Classic or Modern?

Both taken with Leica M Monochrom and pp similarly. First shot was done with Noctilux 50 at f/1.4, a 1976 design, and second shot done with Summilux 50 asph at f/1.4, a contemporary 2004 design. Somehow I prefer the classic look. What do you like more?

I think I like the second view better - the creamy background in contrast with the sharper image appeals to me - both are beautiful though

I think I prefer the first image but if you hadn't said which was with which lens, I don't think I would be able to tell.

Have you tried these on your M9? I hear the colour rendering of the Noctilux f/1 is rather special as well.

The older Nocts signature is a bit smoother & creamier. Love them both but the Noct wins out for me! Beautiful comps Tri!
